Hi, thanks for visiting my blog. I started importing & selling Japanese Engines way back in 2001 over the internet and in my local area. I sold my company back in 2008 and decided to offer advice and tips to people looking to buy a Japanese Engine. Since I had an insiders look at the industry I can tell you what to look for and what to avoid. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to email me.
Sincerely,
Hans Desjarlais

Can you please contact me directly? id like to discuss something else with you?
Dear Hans,
A friend of mine is trying to figure out if a label in Japanese says when his cam belt was last replaced. I have a jpeg of the label. If you think you might be able to help, I would very much appreciate it if you could contact me by email. Thanks very much.
Grace
Hi Grace,
I’d love to help but unfortunately I don’t read Japanese :/ it’s not the easiest language to learn unfortunately. They don’t always replace those stickers with the latest one so the best thing is to take off the plastic cover and look at the condition of the belt yourself. If it looks quite used then you’ll know. This can only be done for rubber ones though.
